Arrow Details

When used, the Energy Wall pickup will fire an energy beam in front of the user's ship, which will deploy a red wall of energy on the track a short distance ahead of the user. On impact with this wall of energy, ships other than the user's will be slowed to a crawl, but they won't take any damage. The wall takes up half of the track width and always generates on the opposite side of the track from which the weapon was fired. The Energy Wall's size and speed of deployment can make it very hard to avoid in certain situations, making it an effective means to slow down multiple opponents at once.

Arrow Trivia

  • The distance of the Energy Wall from the initial firing position is determined by the speedclass, traveling further distances on higher speedclasses.
  • Like the Plasma, the Energy Wall can only be picked up by AI if the Difficulty is set to Elite or Hardcore.
  • In early versions of the game, ships would bounce off the Energy Wall as if it was solid.
  • The Energy Wall, like the Barrier, can be seen through walls.
  • Energy Walls can be destroyed by Tremors and Plasmas.
